  16. Mesa 9.2 is a new development release.
  17. People who are concerned with stability and reliability should stick
  18. with a previous release or wait for Mesa 9.2.1.
  19. </p>
  20. <p>
  21. Mesa 9.2 implements the OpenGL 3.1 API, but the version reported by
  22. glGetString(GL_VERSION) or glGetIntegerv(GL_MAJOR_VERSION) /
  23. glGetIntegerv(GL_MINOR_VERSION) depends on the particular driver being used.
  24. Some drivers don't support all the features required in OpenGL 3.1. OpenGL
  25. 3.1 is <strong>only</strong> available if requested at context creation
  26. because GL_ARB_compatibility is not supported.

  129. <li>Removed GL_EXT_clip_volume_hint because no driver had enabled it since
  130. 2007.</li>
  131. <li>Removed GL_MESA_resize_buffers because it was only really implemented by
  132. the (unsupported) GDI driver.</li>
  133. <li>GL_EXT_separate_shader_objects has been removed from all Gallium drivers,
  134. because it disallows a critical GLSL shader optimization.
  135. GL_ARB_separate_shader_objects doesn't have this issue.</li>
  136. <li>i965 Gen6+ requires Kernel 3.6 or later. (92d2f5a)</li>
